The Lagos State Government, under the leadership of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode have deemed it fit to bring one of the biggest club, FC Barcelona of Spain to Nigeria.

The aim is to establish Barcelona's first Football Academy in Lagos and Africa as a whole.

This opportunity was sized as FC Barcelona's Board member, Paul Vilanova Abadal and Director, FC Barcelona's Academy, Oscar Grau, paid a courtesy visit to Lagos House, Ikeja, on Monday the 22nd of February, 2016.

"The visit by FC Barcelona is coming at a point where I believe strongly that we have nothing else to say than to say we are committed into this partnership because we know the partnership will give us the first FCBEscola in Africa", says Governor Ambode.
