Plateau  state chosen as Pilot state for Digital Broadcasting.

Plateau state has been chosen as the pilot state for the transition of analogue to digital broadcasting in Nigeria.

This was made known by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed when he paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Plateau, Simon Lalong, on Friday and to assess the state of digitisation process going on in the state.

He says the Federal Government is committed to meeting the 2017 target of transiting from analogue to digital broadcasting, that project would go a long way in giving quality pictures, create jobs for over 20,000 engineers and technicians, among others, therefore creating better interaction between the government and the governed.
