IGBOS ARE NOT FALLEN – J U C Ojukwu.

I have been reading some commentaries since Tuesday, 11th June, when the nation’s anti federal and centrifugal forces completed their age long scripted political exclusion of the South East geo political zone in Nigeria’s leadership echelon, to the effect that the mighty, the MIGHTY IGBOS ARE FALLEN, they opined that by virtue of the complete circle of the political alienation of the the Igbos in national leadership, it’s has been all over for it’s people.

Ironically however, nothing can be farther from the truth. These narratives are fundamentally defective, lacking in the historical and Anthropological understanding of the people, the nation and the race called the IGBO.

In avoidance of doubt, I wish to state with high sense of equivocation that Igbos are not fallen, and hardly can fall. We are hardly bendable and are a hard knot for feudal anti federal forces and their clientele machineries who will do anything to keep the nation in perpetual servitude.

We have been through this several times in the past, since the independence of the nation, and each time, we always emerge stronger.

I am very proud of the political direction of our people since 2007, we grew above clannish and primitive bullionistic politics. Always supporting people outside our geo political zone, and whoever we believe in, we invest our resources in, our supports are total, logical, unequivocal and fundamentally irrevocable. We hardly can be bought over, to the surprise of our detractors. We are highly determined and aggressive in our political mobilisation and movement and have always detected and outcasted all our sell outs and fifth columnists.

The events of 2015 to 2019, the period Nigeria went to its lowest ebb of subversive, decisive, clannish, nepotist and prejudiced politics, Igbos continued with modest ideological behavior, supporting candidates, not based on ethno religious considerations. Yar’adua , Jonathan and Atiku Abubakar benefited from political magnanimity of the Igbos vis a vis selfless politics. We will remain undaunted, unshakable, indefatigable and ever pushful.

The Japan model of concentrating on economic survival, and in our own paradigm of “seek ye first the economic kingdom, and every other thing shall be added unto you” which helped us to survive the suppression and loses of the civil war, recovered and surpassed our contemporaries to whom we became threats in economic configurations, wealth and bullionistic acquisitions.

We scared our detractors and haters, we caused them sleepless nights, running helter skelter, all in a bid to contain the ever pushful and zealous race. For our sake, a national coalition of inter ethnic conspiracy involving almost all other peoples of Nigeria was formed because one tribe can not contain us.

I am proud of these political judgements, decisions and directions of our people for in spite loses, we always regroup, re-strategise, remobilise and confronted the situation at hand, and still remain afloat .
We don’t regret our support to Yar’adua, Jonathan and Atiku. We are a proud race, very republican, most mobile race in the world, that makes us unique and irrepressible.

I advise all to quickly get over this with our survival template, face our business with our home made paradigm, and believe me, sooner than you know it, we we will recover and surpass our initial statuses.

IGBOS ARE NOT FALLEN, WE ARE NOT FALLEN, WE CANT FALL.
