Apparently, a 13 days old baby has become the youngest COVID-19 victim in the UK.
The youngest victim died on Monday, according to Health Secretary, Matt Hancock.
A total of 42,288 people have now died of the disease in all settings, including hospitals, care homes and the community, after a rise today of 135.
More than 300,000 people in Britain have now been infected during the pandemic.
Earlier, Matt Hancock was grilled at the daily coronavirus briefing after the Government confirmed it was ditching its track and tracing app, in favour of developing an app based on Google and Apple’s built-in system
It’s the latest blow for scheme that has been dubbed a “shambles” by critics, amid ongoing delays to the app that was due to launch weeks ago.
