What makes a leader or a representative is how connected he/she is to the people and how far she/he can go in impacting lives of their subjects or constituents. As our people rightly said that a king without followers is worse than a squirrel. I have continued to lament on the plight of Ndi ANAMBRA NORTH as result of poor representation in the hallow chambers of the National Assembly.

The last 3days has seen the entire Aguleri Otu consisting of four communities in Anambra East, many communities in Ogbaru and Ayamelum and Oyi, many communities in Anambra West local govts have been totally submerged by flood and the farmers over there sacked from their homes. Their entire yearly earning in crops has been destroyed by the flood and they would be subjected to hunger for the next one year. One would expect that owing to the fact that campaign is at its peak the outgoing senator representing Anambra North Senatorial Zone Senator Stella Oduah will seize that opportunity to visit these communities or their IDP Camps to sympathize with them and give them hope. But instead she was somewhere delivering lectures on what I don’t know while her people perish! What an insensitive senator Stella Oduah have been and have wasted almost 4years with no tangible project to her credit in the zone.

While she was busy with her long grammar the State House of Assembly member representing Anambra West was dinning and winning with APGA ward chairmen of Anambra East and West in far away Asaba where he hosted them in his hotel and shared N100,000 to each of them while Anambra West is totally overwhelmed by flood. I pity Ndi ANAMBRA WEST on this tragedy of a lawmaker.

I don’t want to talk about our 3rd Tenure Bound lawmaker representing Anambra East of which Aguleri Otu communities are his immediate constituency. Verifiable report has it that he is almost turning himself into a gateman at Govt House Awka where frequent on hourly basis while trying to negotiate his way to be accepted as APGA’s consensus  candidate for State House of Assembly for the forthcoming party primaries. This is notwithstanding that he has done his first and second tenure successfully, a feat that was not permitted for any of the communities that served in the state house before him.

From all indications, our poor farmers are left to suffer on their own except the wonderful arrangement being put in place by the state government led by EBUBEDIKE AGULERI Gov Willie Obiano. On this note I want the delegates to the forthcoming party primaries to beware to avoid choosing these crops of ineffective and insensitive representatives ever again for Anamnra North Senatorial seat and as state house lawmakers. A word they say is enough for the wise!

The trio of the self-serving debt-ridden outgoing senator, the tightfisted lawmaker from EVEGE MMILI, and 3rd tenure seeking fallen small masquerade from this our side must be given their retirement due in the forthcoming primaries if Amakom and Anambra North must move forward.
