Delta Government has said that the resumption date for the third term 2021/ 2022 academic session for all public and private primary and secondary schools in the state remains Monday, April 25, 2022.
A statement from the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Ede Oghoro on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu refuted an online publications that the State Government had extended resumption of public and private primary and secondary schools in the state from Monday, April 25 to Monday, May 9 , 2022.
The statement noted that such online publications were products of mischief makers and should be discountenanced .
It further informed students, teachers, parents and the general public that resumption date in the state remained unchanged, stressing that boarders were expected to return to hostels on Sunday, April 24 ,2022 while classes would resume on Monday, April 25, 2022.
Mr. Oghoro, however, advised all school heads, teachers and students in public and private primary and secondary schools in the state to take note of the resumption date and ensure strict compliance.
