The Executive Chairman of the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), Mr. Olugbenga Olaleye has assured that his agency would achieve the targeted revenue figures for 2023 fiscal year, if all financial and Infrastructural supports are provided for the agency.
This came to fore during the agency’s 2023 budget defence before members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation during the on-going budget defense at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The Chairman said the 2023 budget when compared to previous years’ performance the agency would achieve 48percent increase noting that the figure though ambitious could be achieved with adequate financial and Infrastructural support that would assist in enforcement drive.
Olaleye, in a statement made available to newsmen by Agency’s Press Officer, Mrs. Bolanle Ogunlami, pointed out that the N90b revenue target for 2023 would be achieved from collections from Personal Income Taxes, Withholding Taxes, Stamp Duty, Pool Betting, Development Tax /Levy, Road taxes, Tax Investigations, Direct Assessment among others.
