2023: Why all ethnic groups should help APC win – Fatai Ayoola

THE  head of directorate for ethnic nationalities in Lagos Presidential and Governorship campaign council, Hon. Fatai Ayoola Ebie, Tuesday, emphasized on the unity of various ethnic tribes domiciled in Lagos State.

 

Ayoola, who is also the executive chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government, made the emphasis during the town hall meeting organized for various ethnic nationalities on Permanent Voter’s Card {PVC}, awareness in Amuwo-Odofin local government secretariat.

 

In his submission, the director of ethnic groups, said the social relationships in Lagos abhors ethnic discrimination, and that had served as one of the major reasons for economic and religious tolerance in the State.

 

“Here in Lagos, we don’t discriminate and this is one of the reasons anybody can be successful in the state,” he said.

 

He charged the various ethnic groups in attendance which comprises of Igbo, Hausa, middle belt and south-south extractions; to embrace the spirit of oneness, as the All Progressives Congress {APC}, count on their support and votes for next month’s election.

 

Adding further, the council mayor Ayoola, posited that grassroots administration in Lagos State had been successful in the utility of the resources allocated to them on a monthly basis by the federal arm of the government, and urging the various ethnic groups in attendance to use it as a yardstick in measuring grassroots development in other States outside Lagos.

 

“Ask your various council chairmen in your village, what they’ve done with the same monthly allocations given to them,” he began.

 

“It is only in Lagos that the council chairmen are scrutinized on the aspect of grassroots development by the public, because we must deliver.”

 

While counting the gains of living in Lagos, Ayoola elaborated on some factors such as security, education and the economic prosperity in Lagos.

 

He noted: “It is only in Lagos you can come as nobody and become successful, because you can acquire land, run a successful business and be less mindful of kidnapping and other security threats ravaging some States in Nigeria.

 

He urged the various groups in attendance to demonstrate gratitude to the ruling party, by voting for APC to victory at the general elections in February and March 2023.

 

Notable guests in attendance includes executive chairman of Amuwo-Odofin, Engr. Valentine Buraimoh, his cabinet members, representatives of Ethnic Affairs of the campaign council, and representatives of various ethnic groups in attendance among others.
