Federal Ministry of Women Affairs through the National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) in Abuja has identified 22 women for induction into the iconic Nigerian Women Hall of Fame.
NCWD said the women, who would be inducted on Monday, June 10, were selected for their exemplary contributions to the national development.
The ceremony Themed: “Celebrating Nigerian Women Icons of Hope,” is expected to honour great women such as Mrs. Kudirat Abiola; Dr. Stella Adadevoh; among others.
Kudirat Abiola was assassinated on June 4, 1996 during the heat of the June 12 struggle for the democratic enthronement in Nigeria, while Adadevoh died on August 19, 2014 in the process of helping Nigeria curb the spread of the Ebola virus by insisting that a Liberian patient, Patrick Sawyer, remained quarantined despite so much pressures.
