9-year-old girl killed in crossfire between bandits and vigilantes

A 9-year-old girl was killed in crossfire between bandits and vigilantes in Niger state.

 

Local vigilantes have stormed bandits enclaves and rescued six captives in Dogon Ruwa Community of Shiroro Local Government Area in Niger State.

 

However, the 9-years old female victim, Faiza Garba was killed at a crossfire that ensued between the bandits and the local vigilantes.

 

The victims were said to be abducted 25 days ago in which the sum of N4m/ two motorcycles were demanded as ransom in exchange for their freedom.

The rescue mission was organized and executed by the local vigilantes in Rafi LGA.

 

The freed victims have been moved to Kagara General Hospital for medical checkup before being reunited with their family while the deceased corpse has been handed over to the parents for burial.

 

However, the vigilante commander, Isah Auta has called on the government to support them with sophisticated weapons and other logistics in order to be able to confront these dreaded bandits.
