Many Nigerians have taken to social media to comment on the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari at the launch of a book written in honour of Aisha.
The high and mighty were at the launch of the book, “Aisha Buhari, Being Different”, at Aso Rock on Thursday.
Buhari, who is currently in London for a medical check-up, was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.
This, however, left many tongues wagging.
Below are some reactions online:
The book was written in honour of First Lady Aisha Buhari. It had in attendance top political leaders. It was written by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration and Women Affairs, Dr Hajo Sani.
Some key persons invited were conspicuously absent.
While Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and many governors were present, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Muhammadu Indimi, and Jim Ovia were among those who sent representatives.
Unto money, below is a list of those who bought copies of the book and what they donated.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (N20m),
Alhaji Aliko Dangote (N30m),
Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu (N25m),
Mrs Folorunso Alakija (N10m),

It was later revealed that NGF Chairman Kayode Fayemi and Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege promised to send an undisclosed amount of money to purchase theirs on behalf of governors and senators respectively.
Sen. Daisy Danjuma and some others also followed the footsteps of the political office holders.
