Abagana New Yam Festival: Dr Godwin Maduka speaks on Cultural Identity

Abagana New Yam Festival: Dr Godwin Maduka has expressed the need to sustain the cultural heritage of the People.

 

In a report by Dr Emezie Madu, the Anambra State foremost Governorship aspirant describes the yam festival as necessity for cultural identity.

He said that there is need to sustain the cultural heritage of the People.

Dr Maduka who was represented by the Coordinator Grassroots Support for Dr Maduka, GSM, Chief Leo Emesue at a new yam festival in Abagana said sustenance of cultural heritage would safeguard the identity of Ndi Anambra.

Meanwhile, in a remark, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chairman Njikoka Local Government Area, Chief Hyginus Aneto gave assurance that fair play would be the yard stick to produce a flagbearer for the party.

The Chairman of GSM Dr Willy Emenari, also urged intending voters to acquire their voters card during voters registration exercise to be able to vote for candidates of their choice.

The Igwe of Umuchukwu in Orumba South local Government Area, Chief Kenneth Maduka, Nnanyelugo 2 of Umuchukwu, his cabinet members and a cultural group who accompanied him added Colour to the event.
