About the alleged attack of Chief Olayide Adelami by Aketi

WHEN DESPERATION MEANS PERPLEXITY TO AKETI’S SUPPORTERS

( The attack against Chief Adelami’s supporter in OWO is condemnable and the need for common front among the unity forum aspirants)

The ugly incident that happened in OWO, the home town of Mr Governor, Akeredolu in which some supporters loyal to him attacked a political leader, a former house of assembly member to be precise, who is loyal to another aspirant from OWO, Chief Adelami, is condemnable enough for any governor to keep mute over.

Chief Adelami was a seasoned technocrat, who retired from federal civil service at the position of deputy clerk in the National Assembly. He also served as permanent Secretary of various parastatals and agencies of federal government during his meritorious services to the nation.

In a more civilized society, such a drastic act should be condemned by Aketi himself who has not said anything about the incident . At least, he should take a clue from Chief Olusola Oke who openly disowned a group for insulting a political leader in the state i.e Prof Boroffice (a third term serving senator from Ondo state).

For knowledge sake, a group called Unity Forum mandate group led by one comrade Abisoye addressed a press conference and cast aspersion on our ever revered Sen. Ajayi Boroffice but met what they never expected from unity forum candidate , Chief Olusola Oke who condemned the acclaimed group, because a true democrat, Chief Oke believes more in dialogue than violence.

People may not be surprised by not releasing official press statement to condemn the incident by Mr governor who can’t claim not to have heard of the incident in his home town to another OWO leader in the same party almost 2 days now.

He once said in open forum that* palm oil should be poured on the white garment of our revered Sen. Boroffice whenever Aketi’s supporters see him* because they never shared the same political views. This particular statement shows the tendencies of former Nigeria bar association president turned governor to violence.

If you have been conversant with the politics of the state, you will notice uncommon privileges enjoyed by Mr Adebo, popularly called Idajo who is a renowned thug and present chairman of NURTW in the state in this 4 years of Aketi’s government and his escapades

From thuggery tendencies of Mr governor which were recently unleashed on one of supporters of Chief Adelami, these have re-emphasized our earlier stands as the genuine suffering members of the APC in the state, that our other aspirants should please negotiate with the candidate of unity forum, Chief Olusola Oke, because politics is about give and take, otherwise, everybody will lose to Aketi and his second term will be brutal to everybody in the state.

The other aspirants should remember popular Yoruba idiom that says a snake that moves alone will suffer, no hunter can dare a band of snakes moving together.

It is obvious that Aketi’s supporters are jittery in the state because the days of their boss are numbered and they have been resorting to violence, with a tactical supports from their leader. There is no time better for unity among Unity Forum aspirants than now, if only to rescue the suffering APC members in the state, it worth sacrificing for.
