The Action People’s Party in Etche Local government area of Rivers State has collapsed it’s structure to the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State.
The event happened at Umuebule community when the Governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Abe took his message of peace, security, prosperity and a better life to the community.
The leader of the Defectors Mr Njoku who made the defection known, describes the candidature of Senator Abe as an anthem of hope for the people of Rivers State. He stated that they decided to pitch tent with Senator Magnus Abe because they know that Senator Abe has all it takes to change the fortunes of Rivers State for good.
Senator Abe who was excited to receive the defectors thanked them for coming to help build a Rivers State that will work for everyone.
He said when we started this journey, people said SDP does not have money, SDP does not have what it takes, but today SDP have what others do not have. The 2023 election is not about money it’s about the people.
Senator Magnus Abe said “we can not continue to run a system where only a group of people will kidnap the resources of the state and keep to themselves, we must use the resources of the state to work for the people of Rivers State.
“If you want to lift people up, you must first lift yourself up, the time has come to lift Rivers people up.”
The SDP governorship candidate Senator Abe promised the defectors of equal opportunity and urged everyone to work for the success of the SDP in the forth coming elections.
