AGEGE LG NAMES 14 NEWLY BUILT SHOPS AFTER LATE COUNCILOR, HON. BECKLEY

The Executive Chairman of Agege Local Government Council, Alhaji Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi on Monday, 20th May, commissioned fourteen newly-built corner shops inside the Council Secretariat named after late Councillor, Hon. Opeyemi Enitan Beckley.

The Late Beckley, was elected to represent Ward B but died three months into his assumption of office.

During the commissioning ceremony, the Council Manager, Mr. Femi Esan in his welcome address stated that part of the shops would house a section of the Council’s vocational centre including carpentry and Shoe/Bag making while another will serve as the staff canteen.

While cutting the tape and unveiling the plaque, Alhaji Egunjobi, spoke glowingly of the deceased enjoining those at the occasion to live above board and fear God, while the Vice Chairman, Prince Abiodun Ogunji, appreciated him and urged prospective users of the shops to ensure proper management and clean environment at all time.

Also in attendance were; Hon. Muyideen Anigbajumo (Leader of the Legislative Arm), Hon. Joel Adigun (Deputy Leader), Hon. Odejobi Kabir (Majority Leader), Hon. Joseph Folarin,  Hon. Nojeem Oloruntoyin, Hon. Ala Hassan, Hon. Adekunle Shalewa, Chief Bisi Adedokun Odeomu, Hon. Abdul Jelil Olanrewaju, Hon. Ganiyu, Adeyemo, Hon. Isiaka Alabaja, Hon. Akin Oke and Agege LG management team.
