President Buhari and his wife, Aisha, on Friday, September 4, gave their daughter, Hanan, in marriage to her honey pie, Turad Sha’aban.

The wedding took place in the Presidential Villa in Abuja and was attended by various dignitaries.

Guests at the wedding included Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and wife, Dolapo, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, Ekiti state governor Kayode Fayemi and wife Bisi, Minister of Labour and Employment Chris Ngige, Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, first ladies of various states and many others.

The wedding was a very grand and beautiful.

Aisha Buhari could not hide her joy as she shared the wedding pictures on her Instagram page with the caption “#HamadForever Alhamdullilah”.

“Today is a great and happy day for my family as we witnessed the wedding of my daughter, Aisha Hanan Buhari to Mohammed Turad Sani Sha’aban. She said.

“I am overwhelmed by the outpour of goodwill and support from family, friends and well wishers. Let me use this opportunity to thank everyone that graced the occasion with their presence and those that could not, for the understanding that at this time of a global pandemic and the need to strictly adhere to the advice of our health authorities necessitated limited gathering.

“We appreciate your prayers for a blessed union, for the couple as they begin their marital life.”

Hanan is a London trained photographer while Mohammad is a Personal Assistant to the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.

Since August, there had been reports making the rounds on the media about the wedding.
