Aldi Shopper Bought Chicken for £3.75 only to find Intestines still intact

Gordon Duncan posted photos showing the roasted fowl which has been partially carved with its grisly “organs” exposed for all to see.

Gordon, from Aberdeen, says he was horrified by macabre discovery he made inside the £3.75 bird on Tuesday.

In a furious post he made on the German supermarket’s Facebook page, Gordon revealed he has also reported Aldi to environmental health over the state of the bird.

Another close up gory photo reveals the poultry’s tangled innards.

Aldi describes the meat as a: “Large fresh chicken without giblets. Raised to the highest welfare standards from farms we know and trust.”

Gordon said: “Absolutely disgusted at what I found inside this Aldi chicken after I cooked it.

“The intestines etc are all still inside! I will never buy from Aldi again.

“I am also disgusted at the low level of customer service I received this morning when I called to complain.

“I have since emailed Aldi Managing Director and Environmental Health.”

His post has sickened social media users to expressed their disgust at the state of the poultry.

Mary McKenzie wrote: “Omg that is disgusting, don’t be buying chicken there again.”

Sinead Carney added: “This has just confirmed my fear of Aldi chicken.”

And Alanh Nicol said: “Never buying chicken there again.”

However, several people thought Gordon was overreacting.

Jennifer Clabbie said: “Just shows it’s fresh and real. I’d be disgusted if it was something that you wouldn’t expect to find in a chicken that’s just it’s innards, it’s easily missed.”

And Cheryl Thomas added: “If you eat meat then it usually comes from a living thing with organs, that chicken is still fine.

“Just pull out and bin what you don’t want, chickens have innards. I don’t know why some people are so shocked to discover this

However Bradley Allan said Duncan should “grow a set” and stop expecting a “perfect” chicken from a supermarket chain.
