The attention of the Abia PDP has been drawn to an online press release issued by the guber candidate of the Labour Party, Alex Otti alleging that the PDP is conniving with some INEC staff to compromise the result of the Abia 2023 governorship election by delaying results from Osisioma and Obingwa LGAs.
Unfortunately, the unfounded accusations Alex Otti has made is exactly what he is doing in his Arochukwu LGA where he deployed massive military security to intimidate and harass the agents of the other parties to enable him to come up with fake results to garnish his figures.
At the Arochukwu LGA headquarters, the security agents, especially the military chased out all party agents to enable it concoct results but the bold insistence of the Arochukwu LGA PDP Agent, Hon. Elder Abraham Amah prevented the security agents from sending him out of the collation hall.
Curiously, the result of the Arochukwu Sate Constituency for the Abia State House of Assembly election has been declared in favour of the Labour Party candidate, Uchenna Okoro while the LGA Collating Officer and the Returning Officer have refused to announce the guber results and want to pause the process to enable them to come up with false figures.
The Arochukwu LGA Returning Officer and Collation Officee have disappeared on the flimsy excuse that they are not feeling fine after the State House of Assembly election results have already been announced and we are insisting that it would not happen. The PDP will not accept any hiccups in the process which will only turn the election into a charade.
To further prove that Alex Otti is the one causing mischief, the BIVAS machines were not used in many polling units across Arochukwu LGA, especially in Ovukwu and Ohaeke wards and the results have been heavily manipulated to favour the Labour Party.
And the smoking gun in this ugly dance of Alex Otti is that in connivance with INEC officials, the Ward collection results across the 11 eleven wards in Arochukwu LGA were not done at the various Ward Collation Centres but at the same point in the Arochukwu Local Government Area Headquarters which is not supposed to be so.
And to prove that this is correct, I, Hon. Abraham Amah the Arochukwu LGA PDP agent have signed some of the Ward results just to prove that it was done at one point which is at the Arochukwu LGA headquarters and not at the Ward Collation centres for each of the 11 wards. Is it possible that I reproduced myself to sign those ward results at the same time in different wards? The answer is NO.
The PDP wants to inform the good people of Abia State that Alex Otti is frustrating the release of the Arochukwu LGA governorship results by conniving with security agents and INEC officials who have disappeared into thin air.
We call on the leadership of INEC to call their staff to order and ask them to do the right thing even as we call the security agencies who are involved in this ugly development to call their men to order and allow the process to continue unhindered.
