AMACOS Week 2017: Amacos To The World (Complete Story)


The  Association of Mass Communication student (AMACOS),  Yabatech chapter is organizing great activities in respect of the departmental week programs wnich kicked off on Monday 16th October to Friday, 20th October but might be extended for another week depending on the schools decision.

This years AMAÇOS week is tagged “Amacos To The World”.

On Monday was the department awareness and barbeque night. There was a lot of drinking and dancing in front of the departments’ building, School of Liberal Studies (SLS), the programs was free of misconduct.

Also, on Tuesday in the evening was a program tagged “Salaye” which means “telling your experience”. Most of the National Diploma III (ND3) students were giving opportunity to share their experiences. There was also a food competition; the contestants were provided with bread and beans with garri, then rounding up with dancing competition.

However, Wednesday was a film show titled the Banana Island Ghost and there were lots of barbeque. The dress code was jean on jean and most of the students turned out in  their best styles.

Meanwhile, Thursday is set aside to showcase old fashion styles as the theme is Old School and Friday is called ‘cultural day’ for  traditional wears and delicacy.
