Amb Timothy Nwachukwu, The Director General of the anti-crime campaign stated that the group has a tripartite vision of Crime Prevention, Detection and Reduction.

In a Press Briefing made in the group’s online platform which comprised of young passionate Anambrarians who include Comrade Ifeanyi Ubah, A Unizik Alumni, Amb. Collins Igwe, Emperor Udochukwu Oformata, Comrade Chris Okoye, Advocate Chidobem Izuchukwu among others who are determined to change the narratives of Anambra youths for good.

Amb Timothy Nwachukwu stated that “a greater percentage of crimes that are committed today is attributed to the youths, young people have a language (slags) and a medium of communication which only thier peer groups can decode, hence, if criminality must be reduced to it’s barest minimum, young people must be actively involved in stamping out crime from our society, thus the evolvement of the Campaign against Crime initiative.”

He further highlighted that, “The increasing phenomenon of youth restiveness, online scams, armed robbery and other social vices has continued to pose a formidable challenge across the nation in varying intensity as it affects policies and development.”

“The involvement of young people in criminal activities is not a recent phenomenon as the activities of these youths who had gotten themselves involved in all manner of crime have reached an alarming proportion in contemporary time.”

“Its overbearing impact is more significant due to high levels of poverty, unemployment, corruption in Nigeria.”

However, the youths constitute a vital segment of the society in which they live. A disciplined, focused and law-abiding youth can create bright future for the nation. While a lawless, indulgent and violent youth is a great threat to the peace and security of the society”.

The group stated that it has earmarked plans to carry out sensitisation against youth involvement in crime as well as partner with the security agencies to ensure that youth involvement in criminal activities is reduced to it’s barest minimum.
