According to the organizers, the 30th anniversary celebration will feature essay competition for schools, Anambra Private School Teachers’ conference, Anambra Small Business Summit and Anambra Man of the Year Award. Outstanding Anambrarians will be celebrated in many publications that will be churned out.

“The celebration is a call for deep introspection and reflection on our journey so far. It is an opportunity to rewrite our narrative. It calls for projection of many positive and inspiring feats of our State and our people, our exploits in the world of business, politics, industries, entertainment, literature, academics, medicine, law and many other areas of human endeavour. Such stories are overwhelmingly high, but negative stories tend to overshadow them.

“The idea is to paint Anambra and her people in brilliant colours and bright lights, supplant the negatives with an overdose of the positives and beckon on the world to behold our beauty. Furthermore, it is an avenue to bring to limelight the huge, good, undiminished and alluring promises she holds. The governmental policies that have accelerated the growth of the State tremendously over the last 30 years will also be highlighted with a view to launching discussions on the merits and demerits, drawing a new persuasive chart for the government of the day”. The group said.

The project is a 100 percent private sector driven initiative and will be highly publicized in major traditional and electronic media platforms in Nigeria. It holds enormous potentials for brands that may want to partner with the organizers of the project because of the prospects of visibility it holds for brands and the attendant goodwill the project will attract.
