Anambra State: Hit and Run driver injures two at Nnewi

A hit-and-run driver in a white Lexus 330 Jeep, with out registration number registration number WER 968 UG hit and injured two male adults around 10pm on Sunday opposite FRSC Office Nnewi Unit Command, Anambra State.

 

The states command of FRSC reports that the drivers identity could not be captured as he fled immediately.

 

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred as a result loss of control by the Lexus Jeep driver due to excessive speed and fled after crashing into the black Denstar CG motorcycle.

 

Ag. Sector Public Education Officer, RC K Musa reports that the victims were rushed to Felix Okolo Hospital, Nnewi by FRSC rescue team from Nnewi Unit Command for medical attention while the obstruction was being cleared and no death was recorded.

 

The Sector Commander FRSC Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi strongly warns Drivers to always drive with common sense speed limits so that they can easily control their vehicles, in the event of any emergency.

A maximum speed limit of 50km/hr is what the law allowed for cars, within built-up areas, he added.

 

Kumapayi wishes the injured victims quick recovery.
