APC National Convention: Why Odele Babatunde Akanni Matter Most As National Youth Leader

It is pragmatists who end up running political parties and for them all that matters is winning. Power, not principle, becomes the motivating factor. So, by this point in an election year, especially All Progressive Congress (APC), scheduled to hold on the 26th of March, 2022, you might find yourself overwhelmed by politics – the advertisement, the polls, the news coverage.

With all that noise, it is easy for folks to come up with excuses for not voting, “Nigeria is too divided”, or “I can’t get behind any of the candidates”, or “My vote doesn’t even matter”, it is high time we jettisoned the ideas or notions, every votes now counts, all what you need is to just vote wisely, the person that would representing you very well, a person with much ideas, visions, missions and agendas for the youths.

Maybe, these excuses are starting to sound pretty reasonable to you now, But, a vote for Odele Babatunde Akanni, is a vote for pragmatic change, on the youths, a vote for trustworthy, transparency, experience, integrity, selfless service and competency. Once you vote for Odele Babatunde Akanni, you have voted wisely, you have voted for dynamism, vibrancy and defender of the youths.

Though, wisdom might seem too fuzzy to be the subject of rigorous scientific scrutiny. While we all can cite examples of people we consider wise, from famous figure to family members, coming up with a precise definition is much more difficult. That’s more reason we all need to vote for a vibrant and competent person like Odele Babatunde Akanni, the people’s choice, the man that has what it’s takes to lead, especially the youth in the country.

Alhaji Odele Babatunde Akanni was born in the early seventhies (70s), and attended Ikorodu High School, Ikorodu between 1984 to 1989, and proceeded to Government Technical College, Ikorodu for his NABTEB, between 1990 to 1993, he later got admission to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) for his Bachelor Degree, Bauchi, between 1994 to 1998.

He is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), OdeleWhyte Nigeria Enterprises, he also acted as the Director General Jide Sanwo-Olu Project (JISAPRO) and he is presently the National Coordinator of Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) NETWORK VISION 2023.

He is a card carrying member of the defunct Alliance Democracy (AD), Action Congress (AC), Action Congress Of Nigeria (ACN) before it’s becomes the All Progressive Congress (APC). And he had served in several capacities, he is intelligent, brilliant, steadfast, and indeed, upright person to bestow or confer power into.
