First and foremost we want to thank and appreciate his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the 4th Executive Governor of kogi state and by the special grace of Almighty Allah the 5th Executive Governor of kogi state, the Chief of staff to the Governor Chief David Edward Onoja, all the New Direction Team and the APC Party in entirety for the progress and development recorded in Kogi state within three and half years under this present Government

We want to commend the giant stride of His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello in Yagbaland where we have Omi Rice Mill, GYB model school, roads construction and other infrastructural projects. We are very elated for the magnanimity shown by his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello,we are most grateful and we will not take it for granted.

The meeting that was held with Elders Advisory council & the chief of staff to his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello the 4th Executive Governor of kogi state, the stakeholders yagba federal constitency in the new Direction Government was fully in attendance.

The elders Advisory council gave analysis of the two position of the two aspirants Jostling for the position of the Speaker, they went further to analyzed how the Speakerhip have been since existence.

It becomes expedient to identify the names and the LGA of those that had occupied the position of the Speaker Kogi state house of Assembly

2)Mohammed Angulu Umar (KK) June 1999- Oct 2000.
3) Abdullahi A. Dangana (Lokoja II) Oct 2000- Mar. 2002
4) Hon. Emmanuel Segun   Simoyan (Yagba West), Mar. 2002-May 2003
5) Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril, (Lokoja I), 2003-2005
6) Late Hon. Mohammed I. Saba. (Lokoja II) 2005-2006
7) Hon. Usman A. Sulaiman (KK) 2006-2007.
8) Rt. Hon. Clarence Olafemi (Mopamuro), 2007-2011
Rt. Hon. Umar Imam (Lokoja I) 2016- Aug. 2017.
9) Rt. Hon Mathew O. Kolawole (Kabba-Bunu) Aug 2017-Date.

Ijumu LGA has been in the senate for 12years now plus another 4years loading we think that is why they have not been consider for the position of speaker Kogi State house of Assembly.

Now that we have a second time house of assembly member from Yagba East LGA out of the three LGA from Kogi West namely,Lokoja ll who has occupied it.

From the above analysis it becomes pellucid that it is Ijumu and Yagba East local government that have not produced speaker Kogi state house of Assembly and that of Ijumu has been explained above.

The Youths of Yagba Federal Constituency in conjunction with the elders Advisory council is appealing with His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza the 4th Executive Governor of kogi state, Chief of staff to the Governor chief Edward David Onoja and the newly elected members to consider Yagba East for the position of the Speaker Kogi state house of Assembly as Hon Jimoh Omiata is a Man with a political acumen,stamina and sagacity which will further aid the future election and it will be very good combination and strength for a personality like Hon Musa Jimoh Omiata to be with Hon commisioner for Finance Hon Asiwaju Mukadam Asiru

We believe that  the newly elected members must have carried out their investigation between Hon Jimoh Omiata and Rt honourable Prince Kolawole even their various activities and actions in the dispensation that is about to elapsed.

We the youths of Yagba Federal Constituency loves those stakeholders and we are ready to implement their bidding as far it is what they want from us especially those  people that are experience since the inception of democracy,when they dictate we follow without any hesitation.

We saw Hon Asiwaju Mukadam Asiru the commisioner for Finance and Hon Jimoh Musa Omiata as the Speaker Kogi state house of Assembly is an outstanding match for us because it will make the November 16th election a Walk over in Yagba Federal Constituency because the duo have alot of electoral value and relevance to Coast his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to Victory.

Yagba East local government has been marginalized in the respect to the Speaker and we humbly demand for balancing and the New Direction Government his anchored on equity, fairness and Justice

A situation where Kabba bunu/Ijumu federal constitency produced both the speaker and Senate at the detriment of Yagba Federal Constituency is lopsided and we the youths of Yagba Federal Constituency have respect for Elders Advisory council,we are always ready to execute their demand.

We the Youths are saying we are behind our elders advisory council to consider Our request for the position of the 7th  speaker in Yagba Federal Constituency and  Hon Jimoh Musa Omiata is Our best choice.

We are very happy that Our agitation was taken to the Governor his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello the 4th Executive Governor of kogi state through the chief of staff to the Kogi state Governor Chief David Edward Onoja and we believe the Governor his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello will help us look critically into this our demand.
