Archbishop Chukwuma urges ndi Igbo to eat local breed of cow meat

The Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop of Enugu Diocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Emmanuel Olisa Chukwuma OON, at the Thanksgiving Service of Ven. Chijioke and Hon. Prof Kay Onyechi, urged ndi Igbo to eat local breed of cow meat.

 

This event was also attended by Senator, Victor Umeh OFR, the Vice Chancellor of UNN and his predecessor, Prof. Charles A. Igwe and Prof. Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba respectively, as well as members of the university community.

Archbishop Chukwuma in his usual charismatic dispositions decried the increasing tension in the country with particular emphasis on the controversies surrounding the rescinded cattle colony and Fulani herdsmen threatening resurgence thereby urging people of South East to eat local breed of cattles to check over-depence on Fulani bred cattles and the dangers of cattle rearing.



He also extolled Senator Victor Umeh for his outstanding and highly reputable personality especially in standing courageously and speaking up against difficult/daring situations.

 

The celebrants, Hon. Mrs Prof. Kay Onyechi (Née Umeifekwem) is a Staff of University of Nigeria, Nsukka and former Commissioner of Education in Anambra state (an indigene of Aguluzigbo) while Ven. Chijioke Onyechi is a minister at the St. John’s Church Edem-Ani, from Abatete both in Anambra state. They celebrated their 35 years wedding anniversary.
