ASUU suspends strike to sort fuel subsidy issue

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) after an intense meeting on Monday, 10th December have decided to suspend strike action until the fuel subsidy issue with NLC is sorted.

The meeting which took almost all night gave nod to a common agreement to move Nigeria forward with thought of two elephants disturbing Yuletide.

The ASSU will give the federal government time to sort out the subsidy issue with NLC.

The Federal Goverment have also agreed to meet some of ASUU’s demands.

As backup, the ASUU has vowed to embark on a six month strike if the agreements reached are
not implemented.

“We urge all students and lecturers to return to their respective schools from 9th of January.”
