There is tension in the Ibodi community in Atakumonsa West Local Government Area of Osun State after a food seller corpse was found in a mining site naked.

The food seller, Wumi Babatope, according to The Nation, had hawked food to Afon village on Monday and did not return home.

The incident made her husband raise the alarm, which led residents to find her corpse at a mining site naked during a search party.

The youths suspecting the miners raped her to death and dumped her body, mobilised to attack.

Spokesperson of Osun Police Command, Mrs. Yemisi Opalola, said police operatives have been deployed to the community and were pacifying the parties involved.
