The ATP Tour is set to return to Dallas next year for the first time since 1989.

The Dallas Open, an ATP 250 event, is scheduled for Feb. 6-13, 2022, and will be the only indoor tour-level event in the United States.

The ATP Tour hasn’t stopped in Dallas since the World Championship of Tennis Finals was held there from 1971-89.

“It’s exciting to have ATP Tour tennis coming to Dallas, a city with such a rich sporting culture and strong roots in tennis,” ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said. “This is an important opportunity for tennis to continue engaging its passionate American fan base and we look forward to watching the Dallas Open establish itself in its new home from next season.”

The Isner Family Foundation, established by 15-time ATP Tour winner John Isner and his family, will serve as the event’s nonprofit partner.
