Ayade Unveils Calabar Carnival 2019, Harps On Humanity

Following the unveil of Calabar Carnival 2019, the Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade harps on humanity, describing man’s inhumanity to man as the cause of instability around the world.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Ita, with theme: Humanity.

He enjoined all Nigerians and all men to return to God and conscience, as these he stated are key to humanity.

Gov. Ayade took bandleaders of the carnival through a power point presentation on the ills brought upon man by fellow men, saying man has lost conscience and now given to deviant behaviors.

“Imagine the depth of animalism and how much man has travelled away from his conscience, he said.”

He urged bandleaders to go beyond the pleasures of the annual tourism fiesta to communicate the message through their music and that it was time to return to “our conscience that qualifies us as humans.”
