Most mothers feel the movement of the baby inside the uterus at around 5 months of pregnancy. However, this can vary greatly for different individuals.
Some mothers, especially those who are pregnant for the first time, may not feel the movement until about 6 months of pregnancy. This is one of the reasons you should get regular ultrasound examinations done during pregnancy.
Ultrasound examination can detect the heart movements of the baby. It can also detect if there is any abnormality in the growing foetus. Doctors can also listen to the heart sounds of the foetus using a stethoscope.
