Biafra Heroes And Heroines Remembrance Day Commemoration.

OGIDI– In commemoration of the Biafran fallen heroes, the Biafran war veterans and elders gathered in Ogidi on Friday, 29th May, started the celebration and morning which will last till the eve of the 30th of May 2020 which is the D-day for the remembrance and anniversary.

The event started at the compound of a Biafran war veteran, High Chief Akunniamuta Patrick Onumba alongside other Biafran war veterans who gathered to give insight of the war that was fought between 1967 to 1970 and the lessons learnt thereof.

“A gathering filled with interactions surrounding the events that took place during that genocidal war that saw the death of over 4 million Biafrans who fought a war of survival in order to be preserved as a people who at the risk of extinction.”
