Doctor I was told that my blood got rejected at donations what can be the problem?

There are very strict criteria to select blood donors. Criteria include age, weight, Haemoglobin concentration of the blood, frequency of donation etc. It is possible that you have not met one or more of these criteria.

 

Other reasons for rejection could be the presence of blood borne infections.

 

Every unit of blood is tested rigorously to make sure that it is free of any infection. You should approach the centre where you donated blood to find out the reason for rejection. They may also be able to guide you about what to do about it.
