BLOOD-DRUNK STOOGE: We have finally heard from the horse’s mouth. At last, they have confessed. Their initial denial was irritating.

Their dark minds have finally accepted illumination albeit forced. Finally, Sanwo-olu’s bloodletting mission has been exposed and proven beyond reasonable doubt.

Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu is his full name. They say he is a 55 year old surveyor from Lagos, Nigeria. He is currently the governor of Lagos State in Nigeria’s South Western region. A well-schooled man who has combed the length and breadth of Nigeria, United Kingdom and United States of America in pursuit of higher education.

Despite his glittering repertoire of paper qualifications, Sanwo-olu has demonstrated that he neither acquired nor imbibed the universal principle of love for humanity. Or, are you not aware that a stooge does not have a mind of his own, that if ordered to jump into an ocean, he would shout a very loud ‘Yes, Sir’, salute his master and plunge into the rough, deep waters?

That is the plight of Mr. Sanwo-olu, the apparent de-facto governor of Lagos State. He is a human television – we all know who owns and remote-controls it. Read on!

The governor’s emergency ally, the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, has now revealed that he invited its troops to hit the streets, after his administration imposed a curfew last Tuesday.

The Division’s spokesperson, Major Osoba Olaniyi, on Tuesday, said, and I quote: “the decision to call in the military was taken by the Lagos State Government after a 24 hours curfew was imposed.”

I need not bore you with further lengthy quotes from Major Olaniyi, which all but confirm that the governor should be held culpable for the killings of protesters at the lucrative Lekki tollgate and other locations in Lagos.

The army had initially denied its presence at the tollgate and other parts of Lagos. It later ate its words, saying although its troops were on the streets, they did not open fire on protesters.

Sanwo-olu, on his part, denied inviting troops. In his first interview after the shooting, which was aired on ARISE NEWS TV Channel, he vehemently and unequivocally denied his involvement.

“For clarity, it is imperative to explain that no sitting governor controls the rules of engagement of the military. The army does not report to me, I have reported the matter to the highest command in the military,” he insisted.

Before then, he had blamed the shooting on “forces beyond my control.”

Only a leader haunted and held hostage by retrogressive spells and inferiority complex would supervise the mass slaughter of his subjects. That is a crime against humanity. For the genuine protesters – especially the ones at the tollgate – to have defied the curfew, insisting that their call for massive reforms in the country be heeded, they should have been listened to, and not attacked with live ammunitions.

Does the Nigerian Army not have rubber bullets, or water cannons? The attack was a violation of the military’s rules of engagement.
Nothing under the sun justifies the massacre of peaceful protesters, the curfew notwithstanding.

The writing is on the wall for all to see. Security cameras were removed at the tollgate, electronic billboards turned off, street lights turned off as well, and troops apparently strolled in under the cover of darkness, executed their mission and left. They broke no sweat. Met no resistance. Cowards! And some of them must have thought they deserved medals for the mission.
Stinking medals of shame, I guess!

As survivours of the carnage recount woes of that fateful day, Sanwo-olu’s master, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, touched down from faraway France, where he was chased out his hotel room by irate protesters.

He went straight to see his godson. After their closed-door meeting, hordes of reporters swarmed Tinubu, seeking answers on why he left Nigeria during the heat of the protests.

In a failed ego-massaging attempt, he blurted: “I still hold the title of the Asiwaju of Lagos and I’m still the Jagaban.”
A shocked reporter exclaimed: “Oh my God!”

Asiwaju was in real mood to misfire.
He made another gaffe:
“All victims of Lekki tollgate shooting have some questions to answer: how are they there? How long were they there? What kind of characters are they?”

Such careless audacity! Audacity borne out of being hailed by few who have since sold their conscience to blind loyalty, political affiliation, food, or money. Each passing day, I cringe when I see people of my generation defending statements and beastly acts committed by these men whose antics stink to hades.

Animals we are slowing turning into, without recourse to common sense, human dignity and respect for human life.

Relate with some brainwashed bunch these days and hear them sound like beasts. The other day, one of them commented on Facebook: “It’s like the protesters don’t know what government is. Buhari is Army General o. Their body go tell them. Make them continue.”

And I choose to proffer no solution to this descent into anarchy. After all, who am I in Nigeria?

I cannot teach a cow how to fly, because: first, a cow does not fly; second, I will only waste my precious time in a futile attempt to make the task come to fruition.

We all know the solution. No need to further flog a dead horse. Sanwo-olu and his ilk are not the solution, they are problems.
