Body Parts You Will Experience Pain When Your Blood Cholesterol Is High

The issue of high cholesterol currently affects millions of people around the globe. The condition may lead to coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, coronary failure, cardiac arrest, stroke, and death.

According to Healthline, there are some areas of the body where you will experience pain when your blood cholesterol is high;

A discomforting, painful, or achy sensation in the chest.

According to WebMD, elevated cholesterol can cause heart disease and other circulatory problems. In medicine, it is known as atherosclerosis. Due to its proximity to the heart and the circulatory system, the chest is a common site for symptoms. Angina pectoris is the medical term for this type of chest pain. Coronary artery disease is another potential factor in the development of angina pectoris.

If you are overweight and have had jaw and neck pain for a considerable amount of time without a clear cause, a cholesterol assessment is warranted.

Neck and jaw pain may be symptoms of poor blood flow to the brain. These are the first segments of the common carotid artery, which carries oxygen-rich blood to the brain.

Having foot and leg pain, especially when walking or doing other physical activities.

A buildup of cholesterol in the blood vessels that supply the legs is the cause of peripheral artery disease (PAD). The presence of this condition is indicated by leg symptoms like tingling and pain.

Intervention is necessary in cases of high cholesterol. The bare minimum recommended interval between inspections is every three months.

Exercise on a regular basis is also necessary to maintain a healthy weight.

Eat more fruits, vegetables, and polyunsaturated fats while consuming fewer trans fats.
