Buhari hosts Obaseki, Shaibu in Aso Villa: President Muhammadu Buhari played host to Edo State Governor and governor-elect, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy and deputy governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, at the State House, in the nation’s capital, Abuja.
The governor who led a delegation of party chieftains to the President, was at the State House to thank President Buhari for ensuring the September 19, governorship election was free, fair, credible and transparent.
Obaseki was accompanied on the visit by his wife, Mrs. Betsy Obaseki; wife of the deputy governor, Mrs. Maryann Shaibu; Chief Tom Ikimi; Senator Representing Edo Central Senatorial District, Clifford Ordia; Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Matthew Urhoghide; House of Representatives member representing Oredo Federal Constituency, Hon. Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, among others.
