The Senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has called on the Yoruba elites to rise now and defend their own, Sunday Igboho and other freedom fighters.
He said that President Muhammadu Buhari, “can’t crucify our heroes while trying to protect and empower bandits just because they are your people.”
In a statement he signed and made available to DAILY POST on Monday, Giwa alleged that Buhari is after Igboho simply because he is fighting against killer herdsmen in the South West.
“Our warriors are not criminals, killers or terrorists. They simply want the best for their people, just as you are compensating bandits,” he added.
“Why are you frightening Sunday Igboho to further pave the way for Fulanis to be killing and kidnapping our people? I urge all the Yoruba people to wake up now before it’s too late. Don’t join hands with Fulanis to kill your own!
“If care is not taken, you may lose what you have. Please, try to wake up your dead brain before things go out of hand. Either you want to agree or not, the emergence of Chief Sunday Igboho has changed a lot of things in the Southern Nigeria, not until recently.
“Do we talk about the Fulanis he singlehandedly chased out of Igangan and other areas in the South West? This, sends a strong signal to the Fulani Presidency, and no wonder they want him either dead or incarcerated. What is wrong with Yoruba people? Stop playing the ‘Blame Game’.
“Rise up and fight for your right, stand up and join hands together to lift up your own. Let your brain come to life; a Fulani man would support his kinsman with a Secondary School Certificate to get to a position of authority while the Yoruba man would be laughing at his own brother with a Master’s degree without a job.”
