Bullied? Rahama Sadau discharges ‘Arrest’ as Fake and Rumor
“I’m SAFE and FINE” and “It’s indeed a hard time for me”. These were the ‘defensive-contradictory’ sentences from actress Kannywood star, Rahama Sadua as she crosses the news of her arrest as ‘fake’.
Rahama Sadua in a Tweet thread on Tuesday, describe the viral story of her being harassed and ‘softly arrested’ by the Nigerian authorities (in the North) as fake.
On this thread coming 4days after, she tweeted –
“I have received many messages that I have been arrested and sentenced to jail earlier today. I have no idea where the news emanated from. I’m therefore calling on people to stop spreading FAKE and unfounded stories…
“I haven’t received any police invitation or court trial. I’m reiterating this to well wishers that I’m SAFE and FINE and I have never received any legal trial for whatever reason. To those trying to bank on this issue to create an unrest, Please give it a rest..!!!
Towards the end of the tweet, she says, “It’s indeed a hard time for me.” But burtress her statement with “This is not the right time for FAKE NEWS. Much love to those who reached out, I’m grateful.”

With this statement, lovers accross the country, thinks its not enough. They are demanding for a clear video from the actress.
Do a video, and we would stop

I strongly believe Rahama Sadau was bullied into saying she wasn’t invited. It’s very typical of the state and police. I don’t buy those tweets, not one bit.
“What about the document from Hisbah?” another user asked.
Rahama Sadua was last week tongue lashed by Northern Muslims in Nigeria for sharing her racy pictures on her social media handles. On the photos, the actress posed in a tight-fitted pink gown that exposed her skin from her neck down to the upper section of her waist. This sparked controversy and blasphemous comment on the Holy Prophet Mohammed.
It was so serious that The Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria, an umbrella body of northern filmmakers, issued a statement announcing the suspension of the actress from Kannywood.
For peace to reign in the state, the IGP invited her (now alleged) to discuss how best to curb the situation. But with the actress’ recent tweet, none is true.
