BURNA BOY ROUNDS OFF A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC WITH A GIANT PERFORMANCE AT DAY 5 OF FLYTIME MUSIC FESTIVAL 2019

LAGOS—The final day of the Flytime Music Festival turned up a celebration, as Burna Boy filled out the Eko Convention Center in Victoria Island with a Christmas Day headline set.

After 4 days of riveting music, raging, and reveling, the 5th day of Africa’s biggest music festival drew in a capacity crowd as the African Giant threw open the doors for a headline set that captured and represented the unmatched banner year that he has had.

The first time Grammy award nominee, began the year backed by the momentum of a successful 2018 when he ascended to A-list status. In 2019, he’s pretty much pulled ahead with his third studio album—African Giant—and a crossover campaign that seeded the music and its backing culture into foreign territories including the US and Europe. At the Flytime Music Festival, he rounded off the year in style.

Opening performances including Wurld, Nissi, Kelvin BOJ, Pretty Boy D-O and more, set the night rolling with an inclusion of an address by Bose Ogulu, Burna’s mom and manager.

Burna Boy hit the stage with a set LIVE set which he performed nonstop for 3 hours, dominated by curated songs from his successful albums. He was joined on stage by Wizkid & Poco Lee, who added thrilling cameos to the set.

The crowd could not get enough of the African Giant, as everyone sang along in roars with the African Superstar…It was indeed a proud moment to capture the phrase “Nigeria to the World”

President of Flytime Promotions – Cecil Hammond
