Cardi B at 30: Achievements, Birthday Gift and Jamie Foxx

American rapper, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar professionally called Cardi B celebrated her 30th birthday with glamorous party held at Poppy nightclub in LA with multitude of stars in attendance on Tuesday night.

Arriving hand-in-hand with husband Offset, the “Up” rapper stole the show in a dramatic low-cut red jeweled corset, feathered headdress, garter and matching fiery strappy heels.

Offset complemented his wife’s look with a sleek white suit and red tie.

Jamie Foxx, Tiffany Haddish, Chloe and Halle Bailey, Karrueche Tran and Day Sulan were among the celebrity attendees and friends to help Cardi celebrate at the party.

Last week, the star excitedly hyped the event — and the fact that she was leaving her twenties behind –– on social media.

“I wanna see sexiness,” she said in a video on Twitter.

“It’s gonna be a very sexy show. It’s gonna be amazing, it’s gonna be extravagant. I mean, hello?” she added, before breaking into a few colorful words to describe that she would be turning 30.

Last year, she rang in her 29th birthday with a dancehall-themed party, which Offset later shared on social media alongside the caption, “Happy birthday Mrs. Cephus.”

BIRTHDAY GIFTS

When Offset turned 30 last year, Cardi B threw a sneaker-themed birthday celebration for her partner and presented him with a $2 million check as a gift.

“What do you like? Oh that’s right! Some schmoney gang!” Cardi said as a giant check was brought out. “Babe, this is my birthday [gift] to you. I know you have a lot of business ventures coming in 2022 so bring out the birthday gift mothaf—a! That’s $2 million, n—. Here you go!”

“I love you,” Cardi B added as Offset looked at her (and the check!) in awe.

Last month, the couple celebrated another birthday milestone when their son, Wave, turned 1.

The proud parents marked their baby boy’s first birthday — they also share daughter Kulture, 4 — with a race-car-themed birthday party.

The birthday boy made a grand entrance at the event in a bedazzled ride-on truck, gifted to him by Cardi’s sister, Hennessey Carolina.

Now The Offset Surprise

Rapper Offset did not disappoint when it came to his wife Cardi B’s birthday on Tuesday (Oct. 11). The “Tomorrow 2” rapper, who turned 30, was gifted larger-than-life bouquets made up of red roses all over her house, in addition massive candles.

“Thank you, baby daddy” Cardi said in the Story posted to her Instagram on Wednesday (Oct. 12).

Offset didn’t stop there, though. A video released on Twitter shows him gifting Cardi not just any watch, but a rare Richard Mille watch. The expensive gift comes on the heels of their baby Kulture receiving a 500k Richard Mille watch just months ago, in July.

“These are the hard times,” he shared last month. “First off, she has everything. Second off, she doesn’t want anything. Third off, I’m gonna get her something because she deserves it. It’s getting harder and harder.”

While it seems like everything’s swell in Cardi B and Offset’s relationship, the extravagant gifts follow cheating rumors for the couple. His former collaborators Quavo and Takeoff recently released a debut album as a duo, Only Built for Infinity Links. The album’s song “Messy” features some questionable lyrics from Quavo.

“B—- f—ed my dawg behind my back, but I ain’t stressin’ (Not at all)/You wanted the gang, you shoulda just said it, we would have blessed it (You shoulda just said it)/Now s— got messy (Uh),” raps Quavo. Many believe the lyrics allude to an affair between Quavo’s ex-girlfriend Saweetie and his cousin, Offset.

Anyways, to celebrate, the birthday girl indulged in Whipshots—her brand of vodka-infused whipped cream—and was seen pouring Hennessy into guests’ mouths throughout the night, noted the eyewitness. Partygoers also sipped on Vitamin Water as Offset and Chance the Rapper took the stage for a surprise show.

And, at one point, according to the insider, Cardi B jumped on stage and asked the crowd, “‘Y’all got shots? I want to see you with drinks!'”

JAMIE FOXX DENIED ENTRY TO CARDI B’S PARTY

Meanwhile, American actor, Eric Marlon Bishop popularly called Jamie Foxx was denied entry to Cardi B’s birthday party.

According to TMZ, Foxx who appeared at the venue late was turned away from the party due to a miscommunication with the doorman at the location after he showed up with too many guests with him.

In the viral video, the Oscar winner could be seen switching out his Nike Air Force 1s sneakers for a fresh pair before walking to the venue. As he approached the door with his entourage and security, the actor was held up by a doorman who wouldn’t let him in.

After a few minutes, Foxx made his way back to his Rolls Royce where paparazzi asked why he was rejected, moments later, the door guy came running after the star to let him know that he was actually cool to go inside.

Foxx on the other hand wasn’t having it, saying, “No, we not good. Nah ni**a, it’s all good! I love you, but it was too much.” It was also said that Foxx was ultimately turned away because there were too many guests with him, and Cardi had no idea what was going on in the front as she was enjoying her birthday bash inside.

Party sources say Jamie decided to leave the party as he was being walked inside because he realized there wasn’t an area for him.

30 AWESOME ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF CARDI B – XXL

Some may argue it is, but based on her historical accomplishments over the years, that title ‘legend’ feels more fitting than not. And the scariest part is that she’s just getting started in her career.

Cardi B broke out with the 2017 release of “Bodak Yellow,” a mercurial banger that was equally as potent on a commercial level as it was in the streets. The chart-topping track eventually went diamond, making Cardi the first female rapper to reach that height. She now has three diamond songs under her belt, thanks to the additional releases of “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J. Balvin, plus her feature on Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”

When it was time for Cardi to release her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018, she shook the game with that project as well. For starters, it made history as the first album to have every song certified platinum. The firepower of tracks like the 21 Savage-assisted “Bartier Cardi,” “Be Careful” and “Bickenhead” earned her a Grammy in 2019 for Best Rap Album. With that win, she became the first female solo spitter to secure that feat.

Her impact goes far beyond music as well, a notion that Time magazine cosigned in 2018 by naming her as one of the world’s most influential people. Back in 2019, Cardi also became the first rapper to cover Vogue in the U.S. These days, her imprint is everywhere, down to big screen appearances in R-rated movies like Hustlers (2019) to kids shows like Baby Shark’s Big Show!.

Overall, winning is something that’s become synonymous with Cardi B’s name. So, in honor of her birthday (Oct. 11) and in light of her early but flourishing resume, here, XXL highlights 30 of her accomplishments for her 30th trip around the sun. Check them out below.
