Obasu Segun Godwin an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority LASTMA, was killed by a suzuki commercial bus driver otherwise known as korope along Anthony road on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

A statement released by the General Manager of the agency, Olajide Oduoye, says Obasu and his colleague, Adeniyi Hakeen, were attacked by the commercial driver and accomplice while on their way home with machetes and other dangerous weapons which inflicted serious injuries on the deceased and his colleague Hakeem.

Oduoye explained that the commercial driver and others took laws into their hand because of an earlier arrest by another official who impounded his vehicle for flouting traffic laws.”Seven persons have been arrested in connection with the attack while the driver is still at large” he said.
