Congratulations to the Repentant Boko Haram Terrorist

I congratulate the repentant Boko Haram terrorists on their successful completion of and graduation from the De – Radicalisation, Rehabilitation and Re-intergration programme put in place for them by the visionary Federal Government. This is no mean feat considering that Nigerian students, typical examples of lazy youths, could not perform the simple task of graduating from one class to the next. What about those in their final year who are not disciplined enough to read for and write their WASSCE? Or those final year students in the universities who are afraid of the labour market?

The presence of the representatives of the Chief of Defence Staff, the Honourable Minister for Humanitarian Affairs, the Borno State Governor and other dignitaries is a testament to the shining examples these repentant terrorists have become. The General Officer Commanding the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army, Major-General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu, could not have captured it more vividly when he sermonised that these penitent souls could rise to become the President of the Federal Government of Nigeria. What a wonderful prospect! Only if the Fulani herdsmen could take advantage of the offer of the Zamfara State Governor of two cows for one AK47 returned, they too could rise to the pinnacle of the Nigerian State.

Congratulations to the Repentant Boko Haram Terrorist

My only task at the moment is to convince those unfortunate Nigerians who have become fatherless, motherless, orphans, widows, widowers, homeless, destitutes as a result of the gruesome activities of these guys in white socks that the Federal Government is working day and night to secure them and empower them economically.

There is a white paper in the presidency to make them into the Dangotes and Bill Gates of this world in their IDP camps. Was that not why we have the North East Development Commission? Forget the news about the N100Billion fraud: it is fake news and the handiwork of Wailers.

As for our gallant soldiers who were unfortunate enough to have paid the ultimate price in the defence of the fatherland and those who are fortunate enough to lose their limbs and/or suffer permanent incapacitation at the hands of these patriotic Nigerians, may I remind them that a line in our national anthem says that the labours of our heroes past shall never be in vain. Nigeria is a wonderful country. She is a great nation.
