Covid-19: Ogun Govt. Launches strategic initiative

The Ogun State Primary Healthcare Development Board (OGPHCDB) in collaboration with development partners on health has launched a strategic initiative called S.C.A.L.E.S 3.0, a 3months campaign designed to ensure full coverage of residents for vaccination, particularly those within ages 18 and above.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker revealed this in Abeokuta, during the launch at the Family Health Centre, Oke-Ilewo, saying the acronym signified Service Delivery, Communication, Logistics, Emid and Supervisory, that would enable the government to meet its COVID-19 vaccination target and gain the desired herd immunity against the virus for accelerated integrated exercise.

Coker affirmed that the virus persists in the country, and the government would intensify efforts to prevent resurgence, adding that the initiative would identify and address implementation gaps as well as promote accountability of performance.
