FTN Cocoa Processors (FTNCOCOA) have maintained a straight two weeks following the close of Nigeria Stock Market for Friday, 25th March, 2022.

With a +0.02 per cent gain, a double from the closing of 18th March, +0.01 in the Agriculture section, FTNCOCOA joined the general top gainers of the week with +6.06 per cent increase, therefore among those that save the Nigeria stock exchange from shame, with a volume of 808,099 at price value of 0.35.

PRESCO on the other hand maintained its +0.00 at price value of 133.00 but dropped woefully in volume from 553, 650 to 61,975; while OKOMUOIL increased in volume from 4, 815 to 475,638 and maintained price at 143.50 of +0.00 per cent.

On Friday, the activity chart was mixed as the value of transactions increased by 59.21 per cent to N4.2 billion from N2.6 billion, while the volume of trades went down by 17.52 per cent to 177.1 million units from 214.7 million units, with the number of deals decreasing by 3.25 per cent to 3,873 deals from 4,003 deals.

A look at the performance of the five key sectors of the market showed that two closed flat and they were the energy and the industrial goods, while the banking, insurance and consumer goods counters appreciated by 0.48 per cent, 0.15 per cent and 0.07 per cent respectively.

When the market closed for the day by 2:30 pm, the All-Share Index (ASI) increased by 3.94 points to 46,964.23 points from 46,960.29 points, while the market capitalisation rose by N2 billion to N25.311 trillion from N25.309 trillion.
