He finally realized he wanted to pursue music as a career at the age of 10 after listening to a Michael Jackson song. From that moment, he saved any money he made from a part time job he had at the time to pay for studio sessions. In 2016, Damibliz moved to the UK.
Damibliz released his debut single “Jowabayi” in 2018. Jowabayi is a blend of Yoruba, English and Pidgin (broken English). It was a collaboration with Afrobeat record producer and singers Mystro and Naira Marley. Jowabayi was later remixed with Afrobeat singer CDQ joining the original line-up. The song entered charts worldwide including in the UK, Nigeria, Ghana, USA, South Africa and Kenya.
Damibliz has performed at sold out shows in major venues in the UK including the O2 Arena and Felabration. He has shared the stage with, to name a few, Diamond Platnumz, Wizzkid, Davido, Burna Boy and Yemi Alade. Jowabayi is still one of the most played songs worldwide.
Damibliz put Peckham UK on the map with his song Jowabayi, the video was shot entirely in the Peckham area which has a large population of Nigerians and his slogan “All di way from Peckham Iyayin” can be heard in most of his street anthems.
Damibliz has since released other singles including Island Freestyle and Medulla. He has also been featured on songs by other Afrobeat artists including “Ikebe” and “Melanine Popping” by Young Chap, “Aise You Foot” by Double A, “Lamba” by Bawizo, “Burundi” by Subzilla and many others.

He describes their music as timeless and music to which all ages and all races can relate. Damibliz’s music style is versatile ranging from high tempo street style to slow love anthems. He adds unexpected playful vocals in his music and has a way with hooks that are catchy.
He is well known for his clever blend of Yoruba and English. Damibliz writes all of his songs which fall mostly in the genre of Afrobeat. However, his diverse range of music appeals to a wide range of audiences.
