Nigerian musical sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that he didn’t just meet his wife recently. According to him, they have known each other for about two decades.

He made this known during an interview with Tattleroomng, where he said she has grown to become a part of him, saying how much of a good match they are together.

 

He also stated that she is the best decision he ever made. He said, “‘Me and my wife, we grew up together, we met in school. We are just so used to each other. She is like a part of me.

‘’You definitely have to get someone that understands you, me and my wife, we are just perfect. It’s just a good match. She is the best decision ever made. And I have known her for almost 20 years and she can cook well.’’

 

It would be recalled that David and Chioma attended Babcock University where he pursued a degree in music while Chioma was studying Economics. The two officially began dating in 2015.

 

Meanwhile, Davido, has renewed his contracts with Sony Music, Columbia UK and RC Records.

Davido said his collaboration with the record labels has yielded positive results in his career.

 

The superstar whose new album, Timeless, is topping charts in different countries on various music platforms added that the renewals with the labels prove that he has worked hard and also justified his rating as Africa’s biggest Afrobeat artiste.

 

In a statement he released on his verified social handles, Davido expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of his deals with the foreign labels, adding that he would continue to put Afrobeat on the global map.

 

“I am grateful to officially announce that I have extended my partnership with Sony Music, Columbia UK and RC Records, so we can keep bringing you more Timeless moments.

“We don’t stop, Dey for who dey for you,” he wrote.

 

In another news, Davido’s team has revealed that $5 million is the cost of getting the artist for endorsement over a calendar year.

 

According to a post by Billpoint CEO, Linus Williams on Instagram, Davido’s team disclosed the cost of bringing the musician on board as an ambassador to his company.

 

The post titled “Re: Endorsement Deal Inquiry” reads “Hello Mr Williams, thank you for your email. Davido’s endorsement fee is $5m for a full calendar year and is subject to review at the end of the endorsement period. kindly let me know how you would like to proceed.”
Williams, it was gathered had initially prepared a whopping N150 million (approximately $205,000).
