The DESOPADEC commissioner told journalists that residents of the community had been experiencing epileptic power for many years due to overloading of the only available transformer.
He remarked that when the management of Benin Electricity Distribution Company was notified, the electricity company tasked residents to come together to procure a new transformer, the cost of which was out of the reach of residents, hence, their decision to persist enduring with the epileptic power.
It was at this juncture that the DESOPADEC intervened by getting the community a new transformer to enable them enjoy better power supply.
