Protesters Bill Passes Second Reading in Nigeria

Reports on Monday had it that the Police attacked End SARS Protesters in Abuja.

The reports also have it that the police fired tear gas at #EndSARS protesters in Abuja.

Reports said the demonstrators came under attack at about noon Monday as they marched through the streets of Abuja.

“A video showed protesters running from a plume of gas fumes shot to disperse the gathering which started from Nyanya before the incident at Asokoro, near Anambra State Liason office.”

“The protest took a rather rowdy dimension after the confrontation with the police officers. The protesters took to the busy street leading to AYA roundabout, throwing iron waste bins and other metal objects on the road to stop police vehicles from catching up with them.”

This lasted for about 30 minutes until the protesters regrouped and took another direction to surpass the police team.”

Also there was a clash between hoodlums who came in three 18-passengers Toyota Hilux and protesters around Bon Hotel Stratton Asokoro.

The hoodlums came in great numbers, brandishing sticks, knives and other weapons. The #EndSARS protesters, the primary target, later fled the scene.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness told GBETU that the story is not as it is.

The protests was peaceful until Aboki stupid boyz came in 911 (Red & white) truck , Sharon (Green) & Hiace bus (White)

They attacked the peaceful protesters from Villa junction (Power house) in Asokoro till peaceful protesters took shield at Force Hq

The police fired teargas only when the hoodlums wanted to attack the protesters right in front of the police force HQ
