DIGITALIZING ANAMBRA STATE ECONOMY IN THE 2IST CENTURY: A Study of Dr. Godwin Maduka’s Agenda.

The world we live in is continually transforming with the speed of light because economic transaction is undergoing a fundamental digital transformation through the use of the latest technological advancement.

According to Professor Walter Brenner of the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland: “The aggressive use of data is transforming business models, facilitating new products and services, creating new processes, generating greater utility, and ushering in a new culture of management.”

That is globalization and due to globalization, the world has become a gobal village where people interact socially, economically, politically and culturally simply by the use of internet and modern technology thereby reducing the cost and risk of traveling from one destination to another.

DIGITALIZING ANAMBRA STATE ECONOMY IN THE 2IST CENTURY

In line with this trend, Dr. Godwin Maduka believes that Anambra State which is one of the economic hubs in Nigeria cannot be left behind in this era of digital economy.

Therefore, Dr. Maduka is proposing a digital driven economy to make Anambra a world class economy which will attract direct foreign investments, create massive employment through siting of more industries.

Industrial layouts and businesses will receive economic stimuli for increased productivity and altimately trigger economic growth and development.
