Disbanded EPM desperately shopping for venue for press conference

The disbanded Edo Peoples Movement (EPM), a rogue group proscribed by the Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been shopping for venue for a press conference with the intention to allegedly further its infantile attacks on state chairman of the APC, Anselm Ojezua and the state government.

It was gathered that the spokesman for the group, Chris Azebamwan, has been making clandestine attempts to get property owners to release their facilities for the group to hold a press conference aimed at throwing stray darts at the state government.

Impeccable sources say the state chairman of the APC, Anselm Ojezua, who has thwarted attempts by unscrupulous elements to hijack the party in the state, is also a key target for the press briefing.

EPM, whose activities has been disbanded by the APC in the state, has been frantically seeking legitimacy ever since its proscription, as it can not lay claim to the chapter’s secretariat.

Azebamwan, investigations revealed, has called over ten property owners in a space of two days to seek for them to release their venues for the ill-fated press briefing.

Watchers in the political space say the moves are with the intention of casting aspersions on the government in the state, even as others maintain that it may be a response to the recent press conference by the state chapter to inform the public about the atrocities of the suspended National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
