Divorce, Seperation and Dissolution of marriage or partnerships should not be vexatious, malicious, acrimonious or lead one parent to turn children against the other parent.
“But if the husband or wife who isn’t a believer insists on leaving, let them go. In such cases the believing husband or wife is no longer bound to the other, for God has called you to live in peace.)

This is the main scripture of New Dawn Reflective Inspirational devotional to our communities worldwide on this LORD’s day 26 August 2023. For legal purposes, I rely on the new Divorce, Seperation and Disolution of marriage Act 2020, which introduced NO FAULT divorce.
Beloved Learned brothers and sisters, family members, friends, associates from several other fields of endeavours (doctors, nurses, social workers, police, customs, immigration, engineers, architects, IT professionals, business owners and entertainment industry gurus, pastors, Imams, pagans, atheists, voodoo or juju worshipers etc), I greet you all in the name of God our Father, Jesus Christ his son and my saviour and the Holy Spirit of God (who guides me).
I deliberately started a controversial topic yesterday to get our attention on the Steve Harvey divorce proceedings and so that I can expantiate on the expansive of views and opinions on the law of Divorce, Seperation and Dissolution of marriages or partnerships.
Hear me out as I postulate and adumberate and may be persuade you to see the better side of the tripod.
The arguments about why people must remain married even when a party have made up their mind to leave, is in my humble opinion, fallacious because it often lead to calamities such as; acrimony, malice, hatred and all the negative consequences which can be avoided.
In conclusion of my Masters of Laws, LL.M, I did my dissertation (research ) on this particular area of expertise in Law. So I am an authentic authority with greatest of respect to my leaned colleagues. This is because, I carried research both from legal and spiritual perspectives.
My findings are in consonance with the opinion of Apostle Paul in our main scripture. Listen to me carefully;
- You cannot force somebody to love you.

You cannot force somebody to live with you for eternity.

You cannot change a mind that is firmly made up to end a marriage or partnership.

You cannot enjoy a relationship where there is no mutual respect, trust and responsibilities to make things work well.

When people say to you they want to leave a marriage or partnership, do all you can to change their mind. But if they insist, please 🙏 I beg you in the name of God and in your own interests.
If you try to stop such people, they will turn your life into living hell on earth 🌐! Believe me, you will not want to be in the situations. It is important though that if possible, like Paul advised, you should still live in peace with each other in the best interest of your children. But let such a person go!
Divorce, Seperation and Dissolution of marriage or partnerships should not be vexatious, malicious, acrimonious or lead one parent to turn children against the other parent. When parents do this, it is serious sin and offence which God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God does not forgive.
This is why Jesus Christ said:
”But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to be thrown into the sea with a large millstone hung around your neck.” (Mark 9:42 New Living Translation, Holy Bible).
I have seen a lot of women turn their children against their husbands or partners just to gain control of properties and it is a crime against God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God and it is a criminal offence of allienation.
If you must end your marriage or partnerships, do so in the best amicable way.
Declare With Me Today: I am a believer in marriage and I will do all I can to make it work. However, I will not force anyone to live with me for eternity. If they want to go, I will let them go in peace , in Jesus Christ mighty name, Amen.
